Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company, today announces it has signed a lease agreement in Sweden with Budbee, the fast-growing Sweden-based tech company, specializing in creating optimal e-commerce experiences.
Budbee has agreed a long-term lease for a 2,400 sqm property in Örebro, Sweden. The high quality property is in a prime location in close proximity to central Örebro and ready access to the main highway network.
Budbee offers green, precise and smooth deliveries from e-commerce companies, and has experienced strong growth since its inception, with the company now reaching 30 million customers in Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland, Denmark and Belgium. This agreement is the latest in a growing partnership between Mileway and Budbee, and is the second agreement signed in Sweden between the companies. Mileway has also provided a property to Budbee in the Netherlands, reflecting our pan-European offer to international customers.
“This agreement illustrates Mileway’s continued execution of our expansion strategy both in the Nordics and across Europe and complements Mileway’s existing presence in Sweden.”
Tomas Beck, Mileway Country Director for the Nordics
Mileway has been rapidly growing its portfolio of last mile properties across Europe since it launched in September 2019 and now has 1,600 properties across 10 major economies in Europe. In the Nordics, the company owns and manages more than 170 properties totaling 1.8 million sqm with excellent geographic spread, enabling it to serve the needs of its growing and diverse customer base across the region.
Tomas Beck, Mileway Country Director for the Nordics, commented: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Budbee which is an exciting, fast growing company. Our pan-European presence means we’re ideally suited to support their future growth. This agreement illustrates Mileway’s continued execution of our expansion strategy both in the Nordics and across Europe and complements Mileway’s existing presence in Sweden.”
Fredrik Hamilton, Budbee CEO, commented: “We are happy to be provided this property and to deepen our already great relationship with Mileway. The terminal will help more customers to get smooth, precise and green deliveries while we create many new jobs in Örebro. To establish a terminal in Örebro is a natural next step for us, given the city’s geographically strategic location.”
