Mileway, the leading pan-European last mile logistics real estate company has signed several new leases across a number of German properties totalling more than 50,000 sqm.

Mileway has signed two new lease agreements in Kassel with existing customers DB Schenker and Hexagon Agility for over 17,000 sqm of additional space. DB Schenker, a longstanding Mileway customer in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and the U.K., will occupy 15,400 sqm at Mileway’s property in Industriepark Kassel. The additional space will enable DB Schenker to increase the storage capacity for its products, supporting the company’s growth plans and reinforcing its supply chain in continental Europe.

Hexagon Agility, a manufacturer of high-pressure vessels, has expanded its existing lease at the property in Industriegebiet Waldau outside of Stuttgart by 2,000 sqm to c.17,000 sqm. The property, which recently benefitted from the installation of energy efficient LED lighting, is also equipped with a customised ventilation and heating system.

In Cologne, Mileway has agreed a 5-year lease extension with Ontaro, a leading fulfillment provider in Germany. The 10,000 sqm property, already fully equipped with LED lighting, as well as improved facilities for employees such as bike parking, boasts an excellent location just outside of Cologne and only 20 minutes from Cologne Bonn Airport via the A59 highway.

In northern Germany, outside of Bremen, Mileway has agreed a 3,100 sqm lease with SmarAct, a German developer and manufacturer of positioning technology.

Lastly, in the east of Germany, Mileway has agreed a lease with new customer Slam Deutschland, an international logistics specialist. The 6,200 sqm lease will enable the company to fulfil a new service contract with Amazon.
